A smashing new review of MEET THE ANIMAL from Ryan's Smashing Life! Fun MFA 6 show at The Hook on Saturday. Sure, things were running late, but I think it's always a good sign when the bartender, bouncer and other staff compliment your set. I mean those people hear literally hundreds of bands. We hope to play there again sometime. I've been re-reading Bukowski, essays (Tales of Ordinary Madness), and while I continue to admire the flow of his writing and the way he embeds shreds of gritty philosophical wisdom, I can't believe I used to find his work so edgy and appealing. Now I believe that we all have eyes, it's up to us if we want to focus on the sky or on the toilet. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
