Friday

Alright, I'll start with the prototypical "Larch & the WonderWheels" set. This is what we played exactly on Friday night at The Cricketers in Eastleigh - the most attended and most exciting show. The two songs that we didn't perform that night that we did play out three or more times were "Is It Over Yet" (The Larch - ONLY POP MUSIC CAN SAVE US NOW) and "Song About a Pigeon" (Liza & the WonderWheels - MEET THE ANIMAL). Quite a few other songs - originals and covers - were performed once or twice. In the week we were all there, we played two long rehearsals, four pub shows of two sets (first set about 50 minutes, second one around 70) plus four sets at the private party in Owslebury on Saturday. Oh, and also we picked up a keyboard player! The aforementioned invaluable UK operative, Richard Stickler of the band Blue State , not only helped BIG-TIME with driving and gear, he sat in on quite a few numbers with us really adding something to songs like "Clergy Man" (Liza & the WonderWheels - MEET THE ANIMAL which has an organ part I played on the recording) and "No Exceptions" (Liza & the WonderWheels - UNRELEASED).
